Job Description:

 

The day-to-day running of production, engineering, and stores to ensure the plans are delivered and customer service targets are achieved.

Support the quality function by ensuring that technicians/operators are appropriately informed and trained to deliver production and engineering to the highest standards and that any deviations are appropriately remedied and reported at the earliest opportunity.

Support the maintenance function (electrical/mechanical) by ensuring that technicians/operators are appropriately informed and trained to deliver day-to-day maintenance activities and respond to urgent issues while tracking and conducting preventive maintenance work. Any deviations are appropriately remedied and reported at the earliest opportunity.

Active involvement in all WCM / 5S activities, preferably being a Green Belt.

Contribute to the Plant WCM route map to develop the plant’s business strategy and support delivery of the strategy.

Support employee involvement and participation to world-class standards.

Support a culture of continuous improvement so that the plant is able to evolve all of its performance standards and results (including technical performance). Identify alternative processes and establish their feasibility for the plant.

Responsible to plan all the production and engineering processes to identify and satisfy customers’ needs by ensuring appropriate resources are available to the plant (including Stores).

Produce relevant management information reporting requirements. Monitor performance against plans and take remedial action as required.

Line management activities for the team, including safety, training and development, absence management, performance, motivation, communication, and discipline/grievance. Training initiatives include SOPs and their assessment.

Conduct Employee training for direct reportees.

Support the PCR-MEA team in delivering their responsibilities for managing contractors.

Support the plant manager in implementing process improvements and recommending, training and Support other business initiatives, such as new product development, to deliver the strategy, including participating in and leading project teams.

Compliance with ISO9001:2015 / 14001:2015 / 45001:2018 (previously 18001) and any other relevant standards and certification, including undertaking internal audits.

Any other ad hoc duties commensurate with the level and nature of the role (e.g. IGNITION).
