Junior QC Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced QC Engineer – Fabrication to ensure that all fabrication activities comply with project specifications, applicable international codes and standards, and client requirements. The role involves inspection, documentation, coordination with production teams, and liaison with clients and third-party inspectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review project specifications, ITPs, QCPs, drawings, and applicable codes/standards (ASME, AWS, API, ISO).
• Prepare, review, and implement Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and quality procedures for fabrication activities.
• Conduct incoming material inspection and verify MTCs, traceability, and compliance.
• Monitor and inspect fabrication activities including cutting, fit-up, welding, PWHT, dimensional checks, and surface preparation.
• Ensure WPS, PQR, and Welder Qualifications are approved and valid.
• Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain quality records, dossiers, and handover documentation.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Certification in CSWIP / AWS / ASNT Level II (preferred).
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.

Experience:

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a QC Engineer in fabrication projects.
Technical Skills
• Strong knowledge of welding and fabrication processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Hands-on experience with inspection tools and measurement devices.
• Proficient in preparation of quality documentation and reports.
