Our client a leading MNC is looking for a Finance & Accounting manager for their branch office in Johannesburg, South Africa.
1. Purpose of the position
The Manager Finance - Accounting function is to fulfill commercial and legal requirements of the company and to supervise and coordinate the local Finance- Accounting team of professionals.
Finance - Accounting Management involves the application of general management principles to particular financial operation; hence, it is a combination of professional and behavioral competencies.
The Finance - Accounting Manager should preferably meet the following profile:
5+ years’ work experience in the field of finance/Accounting/Controlling in an international environment.
Solid in monthly financial closure of statutory B/S and P&L and IFRS according to the deadlines as given in the monthly financial closing and reporting schedule
Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Controlling or CA/CMA/CPA partially or fully qualified considered a big asset.
High leadership and teamwork supporting qualities, together with positive attitude and very good interpersonal skills
Very good communication skills and knowledge of English and local language on a business proficiency level are essential
Completes tasks on time in excellent quality, provides feedback, demonstrates proactive and solution oriented behavior
Looks permanently for ways to improve and promote quality; makes recommendations for improvements
Experience with SAP FI and SAP CO/MM module is considered a big asset
3. Key Responsibilities
The Manager Finance - Accounting reports to Local Finance Director South Africa and cooperates with all organizational units. Work results should comply with commercial law, tax law and compliance regulations of the Group.
Manager Finance´s main responsibilities are:
Supervision and coordination of local Finance/Accounting team and their monitoring.
Financial transaction for all business units, profit centers and cost centers according to company guidelines and review of banks transaction and all Company bank reconciliation.
Financial reporting according the Corporate and regional head office requirements and reporting deadlines
