Our Client a leading Testing, Inspection & Certification service industry is looking for a Lift Inspector for their office in Centurion, South Africa
. Duties and Responsibilities
Perform in-service statutory inspections on lifts, escalators and passenger conveyors as per his/her competency level and qualifications.
Perform the commissioning and re-commissioning inspections on lifts, escalators and passenger conveyors before they are put into use for the first time, after modification, after failure has occurred and whenever there has been a change in the lift service provider as per his/her competency level and qualifications.
Compile and complete reports as per the company’s work instructions, prior to commencing with new inspection tasks.
Inform the responsible CC Manager on the completion of the task at hand.
Manage time during the task at hand to ensure that the schedule of inspections does not compromise the quality of inspections.
Manage day-to-day tasks efficiently.
Compile and send timesheets to the relevant Cost Centre Controller
Report any misconduct to the Technical Manager.
Implement and adhere to the company‘s Group management system requirements.
Make acceptance or rejection calls based on inspection evidence related to statutory and safety specification requirements and the task at hand.
Signing of the in-service, commissioning and re-commissioning inspection reports on behalf of company during employment duration.
Qualifications and Experience
ECSA Registered Lift Inspector
2 years relevant working experience
Legal Driver’s License
Medical fit to perform the task at hand (Medical fitness Certificate).
