QC OFFICER (STRUCTURAL) - Ras Al Khaimah QC OFFICER (STRUCTURAL) - Ras Al Khaimah Engineering & Technical

 

 

 

The mission of Quality Control Officer  aims to Inspect, test or measure materials and products, or work for conformance to specifications (dimensional inspections, visual examination, cleanliness, leak-tests, mechanical tests,  pressure test, final inspections…),to verify all provisions of the code are implemented, non-conformities discovered in the production process, and to manage relationships with main inspection and control subcontractors.

The mission is to ensure traceability, conformity from raw material to final product, he is also in charge of compiling complete (all disciplines (including subcontracted scope)) manufacturer data report in compliance with project requirements.

KNOWLEDGE AND KNOW-HOW SPECIFIC TO THE JOB

 

  • Should have experience mainly in structural fabrication shops manufacturing (having EN 1090  Code of Accreditation's),
  • Good knowledge on material type and relative certificate. (EN , ASTM, GB material knowledge) 
  • Skilled in reading manufacturing / Engineering drawings,
  • Good skills in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Google sheets
  • Good NDE notions (RT, UT, MT, PT)
  • Knowledge of Welding Standards 
  • Knowledge of visual examination. 
  • Knowledge of calibration and maintenance of control and measuring equipment,
  • Familiar with Safety, ISO and other related quality management systems.
  • Familiar with other control tools such as paint thickness analyzer, dumpy level.
  • Capability to work at height   

EXPECTED COMPETENCIES

 Education: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised University.

Qualification / Certification requirements:   CSWIP 3.1 / AWS  CWI , ASNT /PCN level 2 in RT,VT,PT,UT, MT 

Work Experience:  Minimum 5 to 10 years relevant experience in the QC field

Language: English - Level required:Fluency in Speaking, Writing, Reading.

 Salary range :- Aed.7000/- to 8000/- per month.
