Regional Legal & Compliance Manager/Officer Regional Legal & Compliance Manager/Officer Legal




Job Description:


Reports directly to the Global Officer Legal and the Global Compliance Officer


Central point of contact for all legal and compliance matters within the region.

RO knows and understands the (legal) situation of the region in light of the relevant group strategies and overseas the legal implication of the same.


RO knows and understands the corporate legal rules and guidelines and overseas their implementation in the region and (within the said group framework) adapts, modifies and further develops the same in order to best fulfill the region’s needs with respect to legal affairs.


Works as key point of contact and communication between the region, corporate legal and the legal business partners – facilitates the exchange and fosters communication in order to best support the harmonization of the business and governance needs.


Understands the areas of expertise of corporate legal and – in the event needed – escalates to corporate – in particular regarding (major) Corporate, M&A, Litigation and Intellectual Property matters to the GO legal and the central legal team at group level



Performs and/or overseas relevant (compulsory) training and communication with his area of expertise.


Candidate Profile:


Ideal candidate should be a trained lawyer / attorney / in-house counsel with a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant professional experience within a major law firm and/ or an international business group


Should be familiar with the regulatory environment within the region (mainly based on anglo-saxon law) and dispose of relevant experience in implementing and overseeing a compliance management system


Strong communicator (cross functional), “hands on” attitude, team player but able to independently structure and fulfil his activities and tasks.


Previous experience in the TIC industry would be an asset.
