SALES MANAGER- ENERGY SALES MANAGER- ENERGY Sales & Marketing

 

 

 

JOB PURPOSE:

To maintain an up-to-date understanding of industry trends / technical developments that effect target markets and manage the sales function of the division.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in the development of business strategies /policies to exploit the current market demand and generate future demand for product to enhance market share and profitability.

• Evaluate market trends/ opportunities and gather competitive information, identify trends that effect current and future growth of regional sales and profitability and implements strategies to maximize margins while increasing market share.

• Develop and implement sales management practices to set the standards for sales performance.

• Review and monitor sales plan implementation and results, to ensure sales budgets are achieved and ensure that corrective actions are taken in a timely manner for effective business performance.

• Ensure timely and proactive after sales service to all clients in order to maintain strong business relationship / trust, and to secure repeated orders for any of their future expansion/acquisitions.

• Explore new avenues of business such as new markets, customers, in order to expand the field of operation and enhance the volume of sales and profit.

• Monitor the business environment and conduct market intelligence survey to keep track of the competitors business policy, pricing structure, discount policy etc., so as to review /revamp own business strategies to beat the competition.

• Regularly liaise with the distributors and the Principal office to secure information/data on all purchase orders for the region to ensure timely delivery, installations and collection of payments.

• Review regularly the outstanding debt statement and follow up to ensure collection of the credit in time and in full to avoid loss of money or litigation.

• Provide timely and accurate management reports to the General Manager, Principals, etc.

• Participate in the development of business strategies /policies to exploit the current market demand and generate future demand for product to enhance market share and profitability.

• Guide and motivate the team to enhance performance and produce quality work, and ensure that they are continuously developed for higher-level roles.

 

 

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION:

- Degree in relevant branch of Engineering or equivalent Technical qualification.

 

- 8 to 10 years relevant experience (ESCO Business model), with at least 4 -5 years’ experience in a managerial role.


- Experience in engineering products and project sales; ideally businesses with a high-energy consumption like hospitals, commercial business, industrial businesses, the government sector, etc.

 

- Computer literate, knowledge of Auto CAD would be an advantage.


- Excellent/high level networking skills to build and maintain relationships with key accounts and Principal/stakeholders/business partners.


- Must have a strong market knowledge.


- Should be able to communicate effectively and have excellent negotiation skills
