Forklift Technician- Dubai Others
Our client a leading heavy Equipment/construction equipment trading industry is looking for a forklift Technician.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
- Trouble Shoot, Diagnose & Identify causes of failure, perform mechanical repair of electric & diesel forklift engine, hydraulics & transmission.
- Preform repairs accurately by running computer-based diagnostics on forklift and the use of computerized test equipment & calibration devices.
- Perform overhaul & gearbox removal (Aligning frames & gears), bearing, mast / carriage overhaul, steer & drive axle overhaul & brake mechanical parts replacements (brake pad, brake disc, friction plate & magnetic disc brake) using appropriate equipment & hand tools.
- Perform preventive maintenance of machines with use of appropriate grease / solvent / cleaning agents and keep maintenance schedules & service records.
- Perform preventive maintenance as well as repairs of traction batteries & charger.
- Read, analyze & understand electrical & hydraulics schematic Diagrams, technical drawings & manuals.
- Work in accordance with the instructions contained in the manufacturer’s manuals & workshop time schedules.
- Inspect complete work & test equipment after / assembly to ensure compliance with manufacturers specifications.
- Ensure maintenance / safekeeping of workshop tools & equipment and comply with occupational health & safety regulations.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Previous work experience Similar Position (3 – 4 YEARS)
- ITI or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical /Automobile
- Effective time management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to organize own workload.
- Ability to take initiative and work under pressure.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements.
- General computer skills
- Ability to communicate in English.
